Internet Cafe gets funding goahead!

The Big Lottery's Awards for All programme has awarded the project £8,672 which will fund Horden Centennial Centre's internet cafe from August next year.

Cafe 100 will offer internet access, coffee and refreshments in a warm friendly place run by the centre's volunteers.

Funding will also pay for a screen and projector in the Hall to facilitate conferences, parties and film clubs.

We’ve also benefited from the generosity of Dene Community School which has donated modern tables and chairs to give the hall a new look when the Horden Centennial Centre opens next year.

But the charity still has a huge amount to raise for equipment, staff, running costs and the refurbishment. If you can help, even with a small donation, please call Michael on 0191 569 1507 or get in touch with any of the trustees.

As a centre for regeneration, Horden Centennial Centre will help people realise their potential - build confidence, find work, learn new skills, make and meet new friends.

Give us your support.
