The Shadow Management Group made up of the groups, volunteers and residents who use the Hall and want to see it survive are currently waiting for a decision from the Big Lottery's Reaching Communities Fund on our £500,000 application to save and refurbish the Hall.
A grant will create a fitness suite, internet cafe, resource hub, meeting rooms, better access and new modern facilities for the benefit of everyone living in Horden and the surrounding communities.The Hall will become a hub for activities and services which will support residents and help local people realise their potential as part of Horden's regeneration.
If the Hall is refurbished, we will need to raise as much funding as possible to run the new centre.
Insurance, heating, lighting, cleaning, maintenance....Some of the costs we'll need to pay for.
