Become a trustee

The Community Hall is currently run by St Mary's Parish Church Council's Management Committee.

If the Big Lottery award a grant to refurbish the hall, the shadow management group made up of church members, residents, community groups and local agencies will take over running the building when it is refurbished as a centre for regeneration - the Horden Centennial Centre (a name recognising the Hall's role at the heart of Horden over the last 100 years).

In September 2012, the shadow management group will seek charity status so that the Hall can be leased and run by the new community group with St Mary's taking the role of landlord.

We are looking for local people, organisations and community leaders to become trustees of what will be Horden's newest charity.

St Mary's Church, Accent Housing, Horden Colliery Residents Association, East Durham Trust, Horden Jazz Band and other groups as well as individual residents have all supported the project to date.

If you are a resident or represent a group and are interested in becominga trustee of the Horden Centennial Centre, please get in touch.  Boost your CV or associate your group with this flagship regeneration project;

To find out more contact any member of the Shadow Management Group or email project co-ordinator;  michael.fishwick@accentgroup.org
